Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions explain the rules and conditions that apply when you use the Event Professionals Community website, join the EPC community, register for events, purchase memberships or interact with EPC services.

Last Updated: September 17, 2026
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully. By accessing or using this website, creating an account, joining EPC, registering for an event, making a payment or using an EPC service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions and agree to comply with them, subject to any rights you may have under applicable law.

1. About EPC

Event Professionals Community, referred to in these Terms as EPC, is a professional community and platform designed to connect event professionals, entrepreneurs, organisations and other participants within the events ecosystem.

EPC may provide membership opportunities, professional development, training, events, networking opportunities, industry information, resources, partnerships and related services through this website and associated platforms.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By using this website or any EPC service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms & Conditions, please do not use the website or purchase, register for or participate in EPC services.

Where a particular EPC service has additional terms, registration conditions, event rules, payment conditions or other specific requirements, those terms may also apply to that service.

3. Eligibility

You must provide accurate information and meet any applicable eligibility requirements when registering for an EPC account, membership, event or service.

If you are using EPC on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have the appropriate authority to act on behalf of that organisation.

Where age restrictions apply to a particular event, membership or service, you must comply with those requirements.

4. Using the EPC Website

You agree to use the website lawfully and responsibly.

You must not:

  • Use the website for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purposes.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, accounts, systems or data.
  • Interfere with the normal operation or security of the website.
  • Upload malicious software, harmful code or material intended to damage systems.
  • Impersonate another person or organisation.
  • Use EPC services to distribute spam or unsolicited commercial communications.
  • Collect or misuse another person's personal information without appropriate authority.
  • Use EPC content in a way that infringes intellectual property or other legal rights.

5. EPC Membership

EPC may offer different membership plans, benefits and pricing options. Details of the available membership plans will be displayed on the website at the time of registration.

Membership benefits may include access to community opportunities, member pricing, events, resources, training, networking opportunities or other benefits described for the applicable membership plan.

Specific benefits may vary between membership plans and may be updated from time to time where reasonably necessary.

Membership is personal to the registered member unless EPC expressly states that a particular membership may be shared or assigned.

6. Membership Accounts

When creating an EPC account, you are responsible for providing accurate, current and complete information.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activities carried out through your account, except where the applicable law provides otherwise.

If you believe that your account has been accessed without authorisation, please contact EPC as soon as reasonably possible.

7. Membership Fees and Payments

Membership prices are displayed on the relevant membership or checkout page. Prices may be presented in applicable currencies, including GBP or NGN, depending on the available payment options and your selected plan.

You are responsible for reviewing the membership plan, price, billing frequency and applicable terms before completing your purchase.

Where a membership is offered on a recurring basis, the applicable recurring payment arrangement will be explained during registration or checkout.

Payment processing may be provided through third-party payment providers. Those providers may apply their own terms, privacy policies, verification procedures or transaction requirements.

Payment information: EPC does not intend to store complete payment card details on its website. Payment information may be processed by the applicable third-party payment provider in accordance with that provider's terms and security procedures.

8. Membership Renewal, Cancellation and Expiry

Where a membership renews automatically, the renewal frequency and applicable price will be presented during the purchase process.

Members may cancel a recurring membership through the available account or subscription management process, subject to any specific cancellation conditions displayed when the membership was purchased and any mandatory legal rights that apply.

Cancelling a recurring membership normally prevents future renewals. It does not necessarily create a right to a refund for a period that has already started unless a refund is otherwise required by applicable law or expressly offered by EPC.

9. Events and Event Registration

EPC may organise or promote conferences, summits, training sessions, workshops, networking events and other activities.

Event information, including dates, locations, times, prices, registration requirements and available places, will be provided on the relevant event page or registration process.

Registration may be subject to additional event-specific terms.

Event Changes

EPC may need to change an event's date, venue, programme, speakers, format or other details because of circumstances such as operational requirements, venue availability, speaker availability, safety concerns, government requirements or other circumstances outside reasonable control.

Where a significant change or cancellation occurs, EPC will communicate relevant information to registered participants and provide any remedy or refund required under the applicable event terms or law.

10. Event Conduct

EPC aims to provide a professional, respectful and inclusive environment for participants.

Participants must not:

  • Harass, threaten or intimidate another participant.
  • Engage in discriminatory or abusive conduct.
  • Engage in unwanted sexual conduct or inappropriate behaviour.
  • Disrupt an event or interfere with another participant's experience.
  • Use EPC events to promote unlawful activities.
  • Record, photograph or publish another participant's private information without appropriate permission where permission is required.

EPC may take reasonable steps to protect participants and the integrity of an event where conduct creates a legitimate concern. Any action taken will be subject to applicable law and the circumstances involved.

11. Community Participation

EPC may provide opportunities for members and participants to communicate, network, share information and collaborate.

Opinions and information shared by members or other participants are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of EPC.

EPC does not guarantee the accuracy, suitability, quality or outcome of recommendations, introductions, business opportunities or information provided by another member or participant.

Professional relationships: EPC provides a platform for connection and community participation. Members and participants remain responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering into business, financial, employment, partnership or other arrangements with another person or organisation.

12. User-Submitted Content

You may have opportunities to submit comments, photographs, testimonials, articles, information or other material to EPC.

You remain responsible for material that you submit.

By submitting content, you confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit it and that its use by EPC in accordance with the purpose for which it was submitted will not knowingly infringe another person's rights.

Where you provide content for publication or promotional use, you grant EPC a non-exclusive permission to use, reproduce, display and publish that content for the relevant EPC purpose, subject to any specific agreement between you and EPC.

EPC may remove or decline to publish content that it reasonably considers unlawful, abusive, misleading, inappropriate, infringing or inconsistent with the purpose of the platform.

13. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, EPC and its licensors retain the applicable intellectual property rights in the website, branding, logos, text, graphics, photographs, videos, designs, documents and other materials provided by EPC.

You may access and use EPC content for personal or legitimate professional purposes connected with using the website and EPC services.

You must not reproduce, redistribute, modify, sell, commercially exploit or republish EPC materials without appropriate permission, except where permitted by law.

14. EPC Insights and Resources

EPC may publish articles, guides, reports, business tips, event reports, news and other resources through its Insights & Resources section.

These materials are provided for general informational and educational purposes. They are not intended to constitute legal, financial, accounting, medical, investment or other professional advice.

You should obtain appropriate professional advice where your individual circumstances require it.

15. Third-Party Services and Links

The EPC website may contain links to websites, payment services, registration platforms, social media platforms, technology providers or other third-party services.

Third-party services operate independently from EPC and may have their own terms and privacy policies.

EPC is not responsible for the content, availability, security or privacy practices of third-party websites or services, except to the extent that applicable law provides otherwise.

16. Privacy and Cookies

EPC may collect and process personal information in connection with your use of the website, membership, event registration, forms and other services.

Information about how EPC handles personal information is explained in the EPC Privacy Policy.

Information about cookies and similar technologies is provided through the website's cookie consent and privacy information.

17. Website Availability and Security

EPC aims to keep the website available and secure, but continuous, uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, technical issues, security measures, hosting issues or circumstances outside EPC's reasonable control.

EPC will take reasonable steps to address known technical or security issues where appropriate.

18. Information Accuracy

EPC aims to provide accurate and current information, but website content may occasionally contain errors, omissions or information that becomes outdated.

Event dates, availability, pricing, membership benefits and other information may change. Where information is material to a purchase or registration, please review the information presented during the relevant transaction.

19. Disclaimer

EPC provides its website, community opportunities, resources and related services for the purposes described on the website.

Except where expressly stated or required by applicable law, EPC does not guarantee that participation in the community, attendance at an event, use of a resource, business introduction or other EPC activity will produce a particular professional, commercial or financial result.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes or limits any legal right or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, EPC will not be responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or that arise from matters outside EPC's reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable law does not permit that liability to be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions prevents you from exercising statutory or other legal rights that apply to you.

21. Indemnity

Where permitted by applicable law, you agree to take reasonable responsibility for losses or claims arising directly from your unlawful use of the website, your material breach of these Terms & Conditions, or your infringement of another person's rights.

This provision does not require you to compensate EPC for losses that result from EPC's own unlawful conduct or from circumstances where such responsibility cannot lawfully be transferred to you.

22. Suspension or Termination

EPC may suspend or terminate access to an account, membership, community service or event where there is a reasonable basis to believe that the user has seriously or repeatedly breached these Terms & Conditions, engaged in unlawful conduct, created a significant risk to other users or the security of the platform, or where termination is otherwise permitted by the applicable agreement or law.

Where appropriate, EPC will provide reasonable notice or an opportunity to address the issue, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary because of security, safety, legal or other serious concerns.

Termination does not remove rights or obligations that arose before termination.

23. Changes to These Terms

EPC may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to its services, website, membership structure, legal requirements or operational practices.

When material changes are made, EPC will take reasonable steps to bring those changes to users' attention where appropriate.

The updated version will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.

24. Applicable Law and Disputes

These Terms & Conditions are intended to operate subject to the mandatory laws and consumer protections that apply to the particular user, transaction, membership or service.

Where a specific agreement, event registration or membership arrangement identifies an applicable governing law or dispute process, that provision may apply to the relevant relationship.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to prevent a person from exercising a legal right to bring a claim before a court or other competent authority where that right cannot lawfully be excluded.

25. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or adjusted to the extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

26. Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions, together with any applicable membership terms, event-specific terms, registration conditions, payment information, Privacy Policy and other terms expressly incorporated into an EPC service, form the relevant agreement between EPC and the user for that service.
